Midland Dining Room
At the Midland Grand Dining Room in London, the renovation led by Hugo Toro reworks the original Victorian architecture with a mix of restored historic elements and contemporary additions.
The marble columns were cleaned and repaired, the painted ceilings restored, and the decorative mouldings regilded to bring back the character of the space. Alongside this, Toro introduced modern seating in curved velvet forms and sculptural lighting to soften the atmosphere.
Located in Midland Grand Dining Room, the design draws on the tradition of Parisian brasseries while keeping the space relaxed and welcoming. The result is a dining room that keeps its historical identity but feels adapted to how it is used today.
